Volunteering
Like all Societies we couldn’t function without the help of a large team of volunteers. Below are some of the ways that you could help to support your Society. If you would like to share your time, skills and enthusiasm, then we would be delighted to hear from you. Simply get in touch by email: membership.tasnw@gmail.com

Supporting the Team
A strong Committee is at the heart of a successful Society so planning for succession is vital for our future health. We ‘d love to hear from you if you would be interested in joining the team.
The retirement of Ann Burgess means we currently have a vacancy for a Tours Organiser. So, if you have good planning skills and would be interested in helping to organise future tours in the UK and overseas do get in touch. Contact: David Keeling: chairman.tasnw@gmail.com
If that feels like too big a step then why not share your skills supporting one of our Committee members. We are particularly keen to recruit members with skills or experience in managing web sites, using social media, writing and editing, fundraising or event management. These are just a few of the ways you can get more involved

Hospitality and Bookstall
We are always in need of volunteers to help organise a warm welcome for all our members. Whether it’s manning the reception desk, supporting our bookstall or serving the tea and coffee before a lecture, your support would be very welcome.

Sharing your expertise: Arts +
If you have a passion for a particular subject, or have been a local guide or teacher and would be willing to share your knowledge and expertise, then do get in touch. We are keen to deliver new things to our members so, if you could offer a short talk, a guided walk, a garden tour or introduce a new skill to a small group, then let’s work together to make it happen. Arts Projects
If you enjoy working with young people and have an interest in helping to develop their interest in the arts then we could certainly make use of your talents. At the moment we are especially keen to add to our pool of people willing to read picture books to primary school children.
