Arts +
Arts + has been developed in response to feedback from our members who were keen to get involved in an even wider programme of local events. Since the launch of Arts + in July 2024 our members have run three workshops on Paper Conservation, Botanical Drawing and Calligraphy joined Benozzo Gozzoli in The Journey of the Magi on Zoom and toured the studios of two brilliant local sculptors. The majority of our Arts+ events are led by our members and we have benefitted from their expertise in talks as diverse as Egyptian Tomb Security, The loss of the Titanic and the Adoration of the Magi in Italian Art. A talk on Lee Miller by her son Antony Penrose was definitely the icing on the cake.
We need your help
We want our Arts + programme to showcase the enthusiasm and skills of our membership. We know there are lots of our members with craft skills, artistic talent and personal stories to share about their love of the arts. What we don’t know is who you are. So, if you feel you could present a short talk over coffee, lead a guided walk, run a workshop or deliver a small group lecture on your specialist interest then simply contact Keith at: marketing.tasnw@gmail.com and we can work together to plan a session in the coming year.
