Our very own member, Geoffrey Carr joined the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth in 1969 and, after two years of General Naval Training at
sea and ashore, he gained a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He subsequently served in warships ranging from frigates to aircraft carriers, obtained a Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, was Head of Engineering Design at the Royal Naval Engineering College, Plymouth and worked in the MOD Naval Design Division in Bath. As a CharteredEngineer in Bath he contributed to the design of several ships.
